Tenant FAQs
Answers to your frequently asked questions
-
Can you hold a place before I apply?
Unfortunately, we can’t hold a place before you apply. First come, first served. If you’re serious, get that application in ASAP! -
Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
Nope! The security deposit is separate from your rent. You pay the first month’s rent when you move in, the security deposit is due upfront, and last month’s rent comes later. Keep it simple. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
You need to be 18 years or older to apply. That’s the standard, plain and simple. -
Is the deposit refundable?
Yep, as long as there’s no damage and the lease terms are met. We hold onto it to make sure everything’s good to go when you leave. -
Who needs a cosigner?
If you don’t meet the credit or income requirements, you might need a cosigner. We’ll discuss that during the application process if it’s needed. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
It’s easy—just fill out the application on our website or contact us directly. Get the ball rolling, and we’ll get you in as quickly as possible. -
How do I pay rent?
We prefer you pay rent through ACH (direct deposit), so you don’t have to worry about it. No checks, no hassle—just straight to the account. -
I want to get a pet. What do I do?
If you want a pet, reach out to us first. We’ll need to approve it and go over any pet fees or rules, so you’re all set before bringing Fido in. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
We’re happy to work with you, but your roommate will need to show proof that they can afford the rental on their own. If they can’t meet the financial requirements, unfortunately, we won’t be able to allow anyone to come off the lease. Communication and proof are key here! -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
Give us notice before your lease ends—typically 30 days. Once we know you’re moving, we’ll work with you to wrap things up. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
You’re responsible for any repairs that are your fault or outside the scope of normal wear and tear. We handle all the rest, like major issues or anything covered under your lease. Let us know what’s going on, and we’ll take care of it!
